Why should we consider you to be our wedding photographer?
If you're looking for an experienced photographer who takes outstanding documentary style photographs I could be the photographer for you.

I know that choosing the right person to capture your special day is an important decision and I work closely with all of my clients to make sure I capture the story of their day in a way that will be cherished forever.

Describe your style
The best way to describe my wedding photography style is natural and relaxed. I aim to tell the story of your day by capturing moments as they happen in a candid, unobtrusive way. Naturally there is a place for some traditional posed photos should you wish but this is entirely at your discretion.   

What packages do you offer?
I have a single flexible wedding package offering coverage from the ceremony to the first dance, which you can tailor to meet your needs. Please take a look at my packages page for full details.

Do you take formal group photographs?
Yes. Most clients like me to take some group photos. I would recommend keeping the list to a maximum of 10 groups if possible. It takes on average 3-5 minutes to arrange and take each group shot. The more time we spend on group photos, the less time you'll have to mingle with your guests, which is my opportunity to capture those real, natural and emotive photographs of your day. 

Do you use a second photographer?
I tend to shoot alone as I find this is more respectful and discrete, enabling me to capture  those special moments unnoticed. From my experience, having more than one photographer throughout the whole day increases everyone's awareness of them and the guests can get photo fatigue.

Typically a second photographer is only required should you wish to extend coverage to include both of you getting ready in the morning. If you'd like a second photographer I will ask a number of local and trusted professional photographers that I have worked with before if they are available. This is usually based on their own hourly rate.


How many photographs will we get?
I don't set a limit for the number of photos I will take during your wedding. It depends on various things like the number of guests, how long I'm there and what's going on during the day. For a full day, you can expect to receive somewhere between 450-600 images.

When will we receive our photos?
Quite simply I promise to have your photos ready within 6 weeks of your wedding. 

How will we receive our photos?
I use a beautiful online gallery system to share your photographs with you. From this private gallery you can order prints, share your photos with friends and family or post them to social media. 

You will also receive all of your photographs on a personalised USB stick.

Do you provide wedding albums?
Yes, I work with the UK's premier album supplier, Loxley Colour, to offer you a stunning range of beautifully hand made wedding albums. If you would like to find out more about the albums I offer do get in touch.

How long before we receive our wedding album?
If you've chosen to order a wedding album it usually takes about 6 weeks to design and build it from the date you've confirmed which album you'd like and chosen the photos to be included. 

At various stages during the design phase I will send you digital versions of specific sections for your approval. Only when you are completely happy with the entire design will it go to print.


Planning for your day
Having been a professional wedding photographer for over 15 years I have photographed weddings at most of the venues in the South East, however every year I discover new and wonderful places. 

That's why I like to arrange a venue survey with you even if I've been to your venue many times before. This gives us the perfect opportunity to walk through the plan and timings for your wedding day as well as choose the best locations for your photos and group shots.

Be sure to discuss your photography plans with the venue too, so they can make sure you have enough time to cover everything you want before the wedding breakfast.

What equipment do you use?
I currently shoot using two Canon 5D MkIII's and a variety of lenses from Canon's professional L range. These cameras are near silent in operation, perfect for those key moments in the church when staying unnoticed is paramount. They also have dual memory card slots for extra security. After the wedding, all photos are securely saved to a Drobo mass storage device with quadruple redundancy. I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for editing.

What if you're ill on the day?
I would firstly start by saying that in over 15 years I have never missed a wedding. However, if the unspeakable did happen (and I was abducted by aliens!) I would recommend some local wedding photographers that I have worked with before. I've been called upon myself on a few occasions over the years. 

Are you insured?
Yes, I have full public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

Should you wish to hire me you can secure your wedding date by sending me a completed booking form and a deposit of £250. The deposit is non-refundable, as once I've reserved the day for your wedding I will not consider any other enquiries for that date.
